LEDDY SENT TO ROCKFORD

Chicago, Ill.-The Chicago Blackhawks have assigned defenseman Nick Leddy to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.

Leddy, 19, has recorded one goal in 11 games with the Blackhawks this year, as well as 10 points (2G, 8A) in 22 AHL tilts with Rockford this season during his professional debut.  The Eden Prairie, Minnesota, native won a bronze medal with Team USA at the 2011 World Junior Championships in Buffalo, New York, earlier this month, collecting two assists and a +1 plus/minus rating in five contests.

Next Home Game: Monday, Jan. 17 vs. San Antonio Rampage:  Puck drop is at 3:05 p.m. It’s Blackhawks Day and kids 14 and under get in for $5.  Fans can meet Blackhawks skaters Jack Skille, Jake Dowell and goalie Corey Crawford beginning at 2 p.m. Also don’t forget your skates as Monday is another skate with the IceHogs following the game.
