Teams of three can join an IceHogs player/coach for golf play day
Rockford, Ill. – It’s that time of the year again as the Rockford IceHogs and the Rockford Park District are teaming up for the second annual Birdies and Blades golf outing.
The event will tee off on Monday, Oct. 8 at Elliot Golf Course in Cherry Valley. Proceeds from the golf play day will benefit the Jr. Street Hogs youth hockey program.
The format of the outing is a scramble with three-person teams that each will be paired with an IceHogs player or coach. The $550 registration fee covers a threesome, green fees and cart, a tee sign, lunch, and dinner. The check-in, along with lunch and the opening of the silent auction, starts at 11:30 a.m., followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Dinner, catered by Noodles & Company, will follow the golfing at 6 p.m.
The deadline to register is Monday, Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.
The Birdies and Blades golf outing is presented by the Rockford IceHogs, Rockford Park District, RAVE, Pepsi, Bud Light, Lexus of Rockford, and Junior IceHogs.
