By: Sam Wehausen

Rockford, Ill.- This Saturday night the Rockford IceHogs will host Autism Awareness Night when the Milwaukee Admirals come to town in a Midwest Division game. The puck is set to drop at 7 p.m.

The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive an autism awareness ribbon magnet. Local singer/songwriter Anthony Billups will be performing live pre-game, during intermissions and post-game. Billups is from Rockton, Ill. and is featured on A&E's new reality TV series, Crazy Hearts: Nashville.

For tickets to Saturday’s game, or any IceHogs game, call (815) 968-5222, log onto IceHogs.com or visit any Ticketmaster outlet or the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.

After the game, stop by District Bar and Grill in downtown Rockford, located at 205 W. State St. for a postgame party with the IceHogs. Players and coaches will be there to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

The IceHogs are riding an eight-game point streak on home ice (7-0-0-1). After the Hogs defeated the American’s Tuesday night, they increased their point streak and added two points going into Saturday’s Midwest Division game against Milwaukee. Winger, Jeremy Morin is also riding a hot streak of his own, after notching his 22nd goal of the season on Tuesday. The goal moved his point streak to 13-games, tying an AHL season-long mark (11g-9a).

Next Home Game: Saturday, Mar. 22 against the Chicago Wolves. Puck drop is 7 p.m. It is country night with the IceHogs and the first 1,500 fans through the gate will receive a cowboy hat courtesy of Frito Lay. Gunner and the Grizzly Boys will be performing live at the game.
