DES MOINES, Iowa – The Iowa Wild scored in all three periods and Andrew Hammond made 25 saves in a 3-0 shutout of the Rockford IceHogs Saturday night at Wells Fargo Arena. The loss officially eliminates the IceHogs from contention for a berth in the 2019 Calder Cup Playoffs.
Mason Shaw put the Wild on the board in the first period on a scrum in front of Rockford’s net. Anton Forsberg fended off the initial push, but Shaw collected a rebound in the confusion and flipped the puck over the IceHogs' outstretched goalie for a 1-0 lead.
