 Rockford home for three games during Week 17

Week 16 Recap
Week 16 didn’t provide the come-from-behind and late-game heroics that Week 15 did.  Like Week 15, however, the IceHogs won all three of its games to remain in first place in the West Division.  Corey Crawford continued his impressive play in goal for Rockford and the IceHogs return home for three home games during Week 17.

Wednesday, Jan. 23 vs. Peoria, 7:05 p.m.

Bacon Bits: 
-The IceHogs have won a season-high six straight games dating back to 1/11/08

-Rockford has gone a franchise record 14 straight games without a regulation loss on the road, dating back to 11/30/07
-Rockford is 9-0-1-4 during that stretch away from home

-IceHogs goalie Corey Crawford hasn’t lost a road game in regulation in 13 starts dating back to 11/30/07 going 8-0-1-4
-Defenseman Jerramie Domish compiled a plus/minus rating of +7 during Rockford’s three-game week in Week 16

-Domish (on 1/18) and winger Mike Blunden (1/19) tied an IceHogs single game season high with a +4 plus/minus rating

-Center Martin St. Pierre has a six game point streak, accumulating 2g-11a-13pts

-St. Pierre leads Rockford with 14 multi-point games, including eight contests with three or more points

-The IceHogs will play 23 of its final 45 games at home 

-Over Rockford’s last nine regulation wins, the IceHogs have had nine different game-winning goal scorers

Hot Hog Week 16:
Rockford’s goalie Corey Crawford backstopped the IceHogs to three more wins during Week 16 of the 2007-08 season.  Crawford began the week by making 34 saves and helping the Hogs hold Manchester’s league leading power play to 0-for-7.  Crawford then turned away 33 shots in Friday’s 4-2 win at Iowa and 34 Stars attempts in another 4-2 IceHogs victory on Saturday in Des Moines.

Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, Jan. 23 vs. Peoria Rivermen.  The puck drops at 7:05 p.m.  Rockford returns home to begin a three game homestand.  The Rivermen make their first ever visit to the Rockford MetroCentre to take on the Hogs.  The game is presented by Jose Cuervo and is the fourth of eight on the campaign between the West Division foes.

Friday, Jan. 25 vs. Chicago Wolves.  Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.  A showdown between the top two teams in the West Division.  The IceHogs and Wolves clash for a fifth time this season and second at the MetroCentre.  The IceHogs along with Camelot World Travel welcome Jason Earles from the hit Disney show Hannah Montana to the game.

Saturday, Jan. 26 vs. Iowa Stars. The game starts at 7:05 p.m.  The close out a three-game West Division homestand against the Stars.  Iowa makes its first stop in Rockford on the season.  The first 1,000 fans to the game will pick-up an IceHogs baseball hat courtesy of Wireless One, WXRX FM, 104.9 and 23WIFR.

The IceHogs Broadcasting Network:
Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all of the IceHogs regular and post-season games on the Hogs flagship radio station Rockford’s Voice, WNTA-AM 1330 and 30 regular season games on ESPN Radio 1380-AM, WTJK.  Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with the B2 Networks!  Visit the IceHogs Web site ( and click on the “click here to watch the game live” icon, and for just $6, you can catch all of the IceHogs action on your computer.  Also, fans with Insight Cable television can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action this season.  The broadcast begins with the Pregame Show 30 minutes before the puck drops. Where to Watch the IceHogs:
IceHogs fans can now catch every IceHogs regular season game live on TV!  Every IceHogs home game during the 2007-08 season can be viewed on Insight Cable Channel-57.  When the IceHogs are on the road fans can watch them live at Damon’s Grill in Rockford.  Fans can take advantage of great Bud Light specials and food specials at Damon’s Grill.

Hog Talk Returns This Week At Cousin’s Bar and Grill:
Bud Light Hog Talk returns tonight at Cousin’s Bar and Grill!  The show runs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and is hosted by Jim Stone and Double T.  Tonight’s show will feature IceHogs defenseman Prestin Ryan and goalie Mike Brodeur.  IceHogs Head Coach Mike Haviland will also be on hand.  Come out to Cousin’s to enjoy some great food and Bud Light specials.  If you can’t make it out to Cousin’s you can listen live on 1330AM WNTA.
