Chicago, Ill.- It has been 15 years since the Chicago Blackhawks last reached the Western Conference Finals. After a wild 7-5 win over the Vancouver Canucks, the Blackhawks will move on to the NHL’s final four and now await the winner of the Anaheim Ducks-Detroit Red Wings series.
The third period contained six overall goals alone in Game Six including four by Chicago. Patrick Kane led the way with a hat trick while former IceHogs winger Troy Brouwer had an assist and a plus/minus rating of +3.
Detroit leads the Ducks 3-2 in their best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinal series. Game Six is slated for Tuesday night in Anaheim.
