There will be no August doldrums for hockey fans. Starting Aug. 1 -- that's Saturday, folks -- NHL.com will be covering all 30 teams in 30 days. The order is alphabetical, starting with the Anaheim Ducks and finishing Aug. 30 with Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals.
Each day will feature a "state of the team" story from an NHL.com staff writer or correspondent detailing off-season moves, injury updates, breakthrough prospects, players to watch and much more. Also, NHL.com will feature numerous videos about each of your favorite teams, ranging from season highlights to player insights to milestone moments.
And if you miss your team's day -- or want to tell your friends, hey, please do -- we will provide a linked calendar for your reference.
That's not all. The NHL Network will be running "30 in 30" content on the spotlight team every day in August from 6-7 p.m. ET. You won't want to miss those highlights, top games and player interviews and features.
If you are thinking what some of the NHL.com staff was thinking -- uh, there are 31 days in August -- then stay tuned for some special surprises Aug. 31 as we look back on our "30 in 30" coverage and offer up some fan-friendly extras.
