Toews makes most of adding Byfuglien to his line

Jonathan Toews made the most of having Dustin Byfuglien on his line Wednesday night, picking up assists on all three of Byfuglien's goals in the Chicago Blackhawks' 5-2 victory against the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night.
The Blackhawks now hold a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference Semifinal series. Afterward, the Blackhawks' captain talked with reporters at his locker in GM Place.
Q: How good was
Dustin Byfuglien tonight?
Toews: He's big Buff. He's doing what he's got to do out there. He's crashing whether he's playing forward or on the blue line. He's doing some good things out there. I think in the last couple games especially, on the power play, he's been a good presence in front of the net. Sometimes they don't land on your stick like they did tonight, but he found a way to pick up some rebounds and get a couple big goals.
Q: What's it like to have Byfuglien on your line?
Toews: I could only say from battling against him in practice that sometimes you can't really move him. I think he's one of those guys when there's a puck race or a battle, their players definitely know that he's there and maybe give him a little more respect. It's good for whoever is out there playing with him.
Q: Did you feel like your team was getting under the skin of the Canucks tonight?
Toews: Yeah, it's what we try and do. Again, momentum goes back and forth in a series. I think it was good for us and we were happy with the way we played. We know that they're going to come back with a huge performance in a couple of days. We'll be ready for that.
Q: How big was
Antti Niemi tonight?
Toews: He was great. It's crucial that your goaltender has to be your best penalty killer. As many penalties as we had to kill, he's been there for us every single time.
Q: Do you feel like your team is starting to settle in?
Toews: We don't want to settle in any time. We want to keep pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone and keep getting better. Again, tonight I would say it was a more complete performance than Game 2. We're happy about that.
Q: When you see Daniel Sedin as rattled as he was in Game 3, does that show you that the plan is working?
Toews: They can do what they want. Whether they get frustrated or not, it doesn't change the way we're going to play. We're going to keep playing hard, keep that puck and control it and try to keep them on their heels. If they start getting ticked off, yelling at each other, yelling the refs, well, we're not worried about that. We know it's good thing for us if they are. We know why we had success tonight. We're going to keep doing those things.
