Rockford, Ill.- Chris Noël has been added as the Rockford IceHogs' Video Coach for the 2010-11 season, Chicago Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard announced on Tuesday.

Noël joins the organization after a completing a video coaching internship with the Columbus Blue Jackets' Hockey Operations Department in 2009-10.

"We feel that with the experience Chris gained assisting with Columbus video, that he is the ideal person for this job," Bernard said. "His passion for this position and eagerness to learn are evident when speaking to him and he will fit in with the staff here very well."

A native of North Bay, Ontario, the 26-year-old played high school hockey in the Milwaukee area before attending Columbus State College to pursue a degree in Chemistry. 

"I am genuinely excited for this season to begin and can't wait to start working and winning with the IceHogs," Noël said.

He is the son of Manitoba Moose head coach Claude Noël.
