The St. Louis Blues first round pick (#30 overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Taffe has also played in 433 career AHL games, totaling 152g-191a-343pts.

Taffe is expected to be in Phoenix tonight when the Blackhawks take on the Coyotes at 7 p.m. The winger is the 11th different IceHogs player recalled to Chicago this season, joining Evan Brophey, Jassen Cullimore, Rob Klinkhammer, Nick Leddy, Jeremy Morin, Ryan Potulny, Brandon Pirri, Ben Smith, Hannu Toivonen, Ryan Johnson.

In other IceHogs news, winger Andy Bohmbach was recalled from loan from the ECHL’s Toledo Walleye. Bohmbach, 24, made his IceHogs debut last Friday and chipped in an assist. The rookie winger has played two games in Rockford.

The Hudson, Wis. native paces the Walleye with 43 points on the campaign including 19g-24a. Bohmbach will not join the IceHogs until Sunday when they take on the Milwaukee Admirals at the Bradley Center at 5 p.m.
