For the first time this season, the Rockford IceHogs earned points in three straight contests in Week 10. Rockford opened the weekend with an Illinois Lottery Cup win over the Chicago Wolves at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Friday. The IceHogs outlasted the Grand Rapids Griffins to earn a shootout victory Saturday before traveling to Milwaukee to take on the Admirals for the first time this season on Sunday. But in their second shootout in as many nights, Rockford was unable to top Milwaukee.

A week after going 0-3-0-0 over a three-game weekend, Rockford went 2-0-0-1 in a three-game weekend set in Week 10

Rostislav Olesz has a goal in three-straight games and a point in four-straight contests dating back to 12/4/11

Winger Jeremy Morin has points in four-straight games, totaling 1g-4a-5pts

Morin has also recorded a penalty in a team season-high five straight games, totaling 26 PIMs

Jimmy Hayes is riding a four-game point streak, accumulating 1g-4a-5pts during his hot stretch

Over Hayes’ past 10 games, the rookie winger has 2g-8a-10pts

Dylan Olsen recorded his first career professional goal on Sunday in Milwaukee

Rockford participated in shootouts in back-to-back games after playing in just one shootout in their first 23 games

The IceHogs ended a 1-28 power-play slump on Sunday in Milwaukee with a power-play marker on their first advantage

Rockford’s 3-2 shootout win over Grand Rapids on Saturday moved the team’s all-time home record against the Griffins to 11-1-0-1 and 18-4-0-3 overall

Rockford has won eight-straight home games against Grand Rapids dating back to Jan. 23, 2010

The IceHogs are 14-3-0-0 against the Griffs over the past three seasons heading into Wednesday’s season head-to-head finale at Van Andel Arena

Sunday’s game in Milwaukee marked just the second time this season that Rockford was held below 29 shots on goal as the Hogs had just 20

The IceHogs had a franchise record low 13 on 10/14/11 at Abbotsford in a 3-2 win

Through 25 games, Rockford has recorded five or more goals in a game seven times

In 2010-11, Rockford had five or more goals in a contest 10 times

Hot Hog: Week 10:

Jimmy Hayes Right Wing

Rookie winger Jimmy Hayes had points in all three games with a plus/minus rating of +4 for the IceHogs in Week 10. Hayes chipped in assists in both of Rockford’s home wins on Friday and Saturday and then added his second career multi-point game on Sunday in Milwaukee assisting on the IceHogs first two goals. Overall this season, Hayes has 4g-13a-17pts in 23 games, fourth best on the IceHogs, and is riding a career-high four-game point streak.

Upcoming Games:
Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Grand Rapids: The IceHogs travel to Grand Rapids for their final matchup of the season with the Griffins. Game time is 6 p.m. Rockford owns a 3-0-0-0 record against Grand Rapids this season.

Friday, Dec. 16 vs. Peoria:
The IceHogs return to Rockford to take on the Peoria Rivermen in another Illinois Lottery Cup matchup. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. for the eighth of 12 meetings between the division rivals. Fans who have collected their IceHogs pint glasses from Applebee’s can complete the set Friday, as the first 1,500 fans age 21 and older will receive a voucher redeemable for an IceHogs pitcher at either local Applebee’s location. No purchase necessary.

Saturday, Dec. 17 vs. Milwaukee:  Less than a week after facing the Milwaukee Admirals for the first time this season, Rockford hosts their Midwest Division rivals at 7:05 p.m. It’s also the first bobblehead giveaway of the season, with the first 2,500 fans receiving a collector’s edition Rob Klinkhammer bobblehead thanks to U.S. Cellular.

Bud Light Hog Talk Rolls On At Granite City:
Bud Light Hog Talk makes its weekly appearance tonight at Granite City Food and Brewery from 6-7 p.m. Granite City is located at  7140 Harrison Ave. next to CherryVale Mall. Fans can join Stephen Nelson from 6-7 p.m. tonight as he chats with IceHogs forward Brandon Bollig, defenseman Joe Lavin and Head Coach Ted Dent. Take advantage of food and Bud Light specials. If you can't make it to Granite City, tune into 1330 AM WNTA.

The IceHogs Broadcasting Network:
Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all of the IceHogs regular-and post-season games on the Hogs’ flagship radio station, Rockford’s Voice, WNTA-AM 1330 and 100.5 NTA FM, and 30 regular season games on ESPN Radio 1380-AM, WTJK.  Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with AHL Live!  Visit the IceHogs website ( and click on the “click here to watch the AHL Live” icon, and for just $7 you can catch all of the IceHogs action on your computer.  Also, fans with Comcast Cable television in Rockford can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action at the BMO Harris Bank Center this season. All Saturday home games will also be televised on My Network TV digital subchannel 17.2 along with Comcast and Charter Cable channel 16. The broadcast begins with the U.S. Cellular Pregame Show 30 minutes before the puck drops.
