Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have agreed to terms with defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk on a two-year extension, which runs through the end of the 2017-18 National Hockey League season.

van Riemsdyk, 23, notched one assist in 18 regular-season games with the Blackhawks last year.
