Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, the proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, have signed defenseman Calle Dahlstrom to an amateur tryout (ATO).
Dahlstrom, 21, has spent his last three seasons with Linkopings HC in the Swedish Hockey League. In 50 games in 2015-16, the defenseman accumulated eight points (1g-7a).
The Stockholm, Sweden native made his AHL debut last season with the IceHogs on April 12, 2015 in Charlotte. The d-man appeared in two games with Rockford in 2014-15, recording one assist.
Dahlstrom was drafted in the second round (#51 overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Level Draft.
