By: Rockford IceHogs
12/01/2016 1:11 PM -
Friday, Dec. 2 vs. Chicago Wolves

Time: Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Great Christmas Tree Giveaway: Fans may purchase raffle tickets for the IceHogs' Great Christmas Tree Giveaway at Friday's game for just $5. Raffle ticket sales will conclude at the end of the second intermission Friday, and the IceHogs will announce the winner during the third period that evening.

Also, fans can purchase Christmas trees for $35 (seven raffle entries) at the game on Dec. 2, or buy a ticket package for $75 (15 raffle entries) that includes four lower level endzone seats and a Christmas tree. For each purchase fans will gain entrance into the raffle for a chance to win the decorated IceHogs Christmas tree.

Fans can pre-purchase a Christmas tree or Christmas tree ticket package by calling the IceHogs at 815-986-6465, or by stopping by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office (only a limited number of trees available; trees can be picked up at the designated outside lot on Elm Street).

The lucky winner of the Great Christmas Tree Giveaway will receive a prize package that includes:
  • A Christmas tree adorned with lights, garland and ornaments that were decorated by current IceHogs player
  • Four (4) Club Lounge tickets to the IceHogs home game on Sunday, Jan. 8 (vs. Chicago Wolves)
  • Four (4) tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks home game on Thursday Jan. 26 (vs. Winnipeg Jets)
Some of the proceeds from the raffle benefit the Rockford Fire Department.

NOTE: The prize winner does not have to be present at Friday’s game on Dec. 2.

District Bar and Grill Presents - Blues Flame Lounge Pre-Game Party: Fans ages 21 and older can kick-off their weekend festivities with a Pre-Game Party at the Blues Flame Lounge, located on the BMO Harris Bank Center concourse. Friday’s event begins with live music from “Val and Char Browne” at 5:15 p.m. and will also feature free appetizers and happy-hour specials.

NOTE: Guests must have a ticket to Friday’s game to attend the Pre-Game Party. Those attending must enter the arena through the upper-concourse level entrance on Elm Street (near the Box Office).

Matchup: The Rockford IceHogs (7-10-1-2) host the Chicago Wolves (9-9-1-1) for the fourth Illinois Lottery Cup matchup of 2016-17 season. The IceHogs have won 16 of their last 23 home games against the Wolves since 2013, including edging Chicago 3-2 in the series opener on Oct. 28. The Hogs (7th place) enter Friday’s game trailing the Wolves (5th place) by three points in the Central Division standings.

Saturday, Dec. 3 vs. Grand Rapids Griffins

Time: Puck drop is 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Teddy Bear Toss: Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently-used teddy bears and/or stuffed animals to Saturday’s game and throw them onto the ice when the IceHogs score their first goal of the game. Each stuffed animal will then be collected off the ice for donation to local hospitals and kids’ charities. Through 15 seasons of the Teddy Bear Toss, the IceHogs have donated nearly 35,000 stuffed animals to charities.

NOTE: The Teddy Bear Toss is an exclusion from the IceHogs’ game-day clear-bag policy. Fans may bring other bags to carry the stuffed animals, with all baggage subject to inspection upon entrance to the arena.

Matchup: The Rockford IceHogs (7-10-1-2) take on the Grand Rapids Griffins (11-6-0-1) for the third of 10 meetings this season. Rockford split the first two matchups in Grand Rapids earlier this year, notching its victory behind a 27-save performance from goalie Lars Johansson in a 2-1 win on Oct. 21.

Tickets: Tickets can be purchased at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster location, by phone (815 968-5222) or online at www.icehogs.com.

Broadcast: All games are broadcast locally live on WIFR’s Justice Network on 23.3 and online through AHLLive.com. To listen to a free audio broadcast, tune in to WXRX.com or use the IceHogs app. Fans can also follow in-game updates via the IceHogs’ Twitter, @goicehogs. Friday’s game can also be heard on AM 1330.
