ICEHOGS ANNOUNCE DETAILS FOR WORLD SERIES TROPHY APPEARANCE

By: Rockford IceHogs
The World Series trophy will be at the BMO Sunday Jan. 8
12/27/2016 4:30 PM -
Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs are proud to host Major League Baseball’s Commissioner’s trophy, presented to the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs, at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Sunday, Jan. 8.

A select number of fans in attendance to Sunday’s 4 p.m. game against the Chicago Wolves will receive a wristband permitting access to taking a picture with the World Series trophy.

All fans in attendance Jan. 8 will still have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the World Series trophy during an on-ice ceremony prior to puck drop. The trophy will then remain on display in the OSF Kids Corner throughout the remainder of the IceHogs game, where fans who received wristbands are invited to pose for a picture with MLB’s prestigious hardware. Fans must provide their own cameras for any pictures with the World Series trophy.

Please note that a ticket to the IceHogs game does not guarantee a chance to take a photo with the World Series trophy.

Fans are also reminded that the IceHogs’ normal, gameday camera policies will remain in effect for photos with the World Series trophy, including limiting personal cameras to 55mm or less lenses. The IceHogs will be providing an on-site staff member to assist with fan photos with the World Series trophy, however, fans must still supply their own camera for any pictures with the trophy.

As an additional reminder, the BMO Harris Bank Center also has a clear-bag policy that can be reviewed at icehogs.com/rmc/bag-policies.

Sunday also marks the IceHogs’ annual team card set giveaway, courtesy of Register Star. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive the 2016-17 edition of the Rockford IceHogs collectible trading cards, which feature biographies and career highlights of this year’s IceHogs team.

The action-packed afternoon will then conclude with a postgame Skate with the Hogs. Fans can participate in the postgame skate by sticking around after the conclusion of Sunday’s game to take the ice with their favorite Rockford skaters. Fans must bring their own skates for the Skate with the Hogs.

Tickets are still available for Sunday’s game and World Series trophy display on Jan. 8. Fans can purchase tickets at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster location, by phone at (815) 968-5222 or online at www.icehogs.com and www.ticketmaster.com.

Next Home Game: Wednesday, Dec. 28 vs. Chicago Wolves. Puck drop is 7 p.m. The first 2,500 fans to enter the arena will receive a commemorative Jake Dowell poster courtesy of Hub Printing. It’s also a Winning Weekday presented by Fas Fuel. After every IceHogs home win on a weekday, all fans in attendance can redeem their game ticket for a FREE ticket of equal or lesser value to the next weekday game. Also, one lucky fan in attendance will WIN a $50 gas card, courtesy of Fas Fuel. In addition, the contest marks another WXRX Dollar Day, where fans can take advantage of $2 beers, soft drinks, hot dogs and companion tickets.
