Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs host their annual School Day game on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the BMO Harris Bank Center against the Cleveland Monsters.

Students and fans in attendance will have the opportunity to join Kyle Baun and P.C. Labrie in their initiative to prevent bullying by taking the buddy pledge, “Don’t Be A Bully, Be A Buddy”.

Baun and Labrie began their anti-bullying initiative during the 2015-16 season. The duo annually visits schools to educate and spread awareness on bullying prevention. As part of the anti-bullying program, Baun and Labrie pose possible bullying situations and ask students to make correct decisions based on each scenario.

Throughout the game, anti-bullying messages will be played on the video board. The School Day game will also include in-game videos featuring a spelling bee for IceHogs players and the players’ reflections on their own education.

Puck drop is 10:30 a.m. and doors open at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday is a Fas Fuel Winning Weekday where fans can redeem their game ticket for a free ticket of equal or lesser value to the next weekday home game if the IceHogs win against Cleveland. The weekday game is also a WXRX Dollar Day with $2 companion tickets and $2 hotdogs and soft drinks.

Tickets can be purchased at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster location, by phone (815 968-5222) or online at www.icehogs.com. The game will be broadcasted on WIFR’s Justice Network on 23.3 and online through AHLLive.com.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Feb. 11 vs. San Antonio Rampage at 7 p.m. The IceHogs begin a five-game home stand Saturday night when they face the Rampage for the fourth time this season. The first 2,500 will receive an IceHogs T-shirt compliments of Toyota.
